I’ve been refining a biomechanical evaluation model called The Michelangelo’s "Adam" Test.
Unfortunately, Michelangelo doesn't have an X account.
He had to write across the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel in Vatican City.
But that doesn't make his insights any less powerful.
Vanderbilt University Library states that up there, on Michelangelo's ceiling, God transmits to Adam's body a "Spark of Life"—by means of his Divine Finger.
This is decisively refuted by Dr. Meshberger—an obstetrician-gynecologist who gained recognition for his article "An Interpretation of Michelangelo's Creation of Adam Based on Neuroanatomy," published in The Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA). Dr. Meshberger argues that the image of God floating on a cloud with angels has the anatomical shape of a human brain. The figures correspond to cerebral convolutions. And God's foot is the brainstem. "God himself gave man the gift of intellect.
With all due respect to JAMA, there are certain doubts as to whether this article meets the scientific standards generally accepted in neuroanatomy.
What do you see on this fresco?
Adam
A limp body, incapable of real action.
You can find guys like that in any office today.
God
He bursts into the composition of the fresco with a total acceleration overload.
God pushes forward with his mass so hard that the fresco cannot contain him.
His torso works in torsion, like a rotor.
One leg is in the push-off phase.
His facial expression betrays a calculation of moment of inertia.
The angels are stabilizing flywheels.
God coils himself into a spring — charged with mechanical energy—from his supporting leg all the way up to his right hand.
This creates a vector of powerful force application through his finger.
Total thrust.
The embodiment of transmitted torque.
Here's the insight: there is a technological gap between God's finger and Adam's finger.
A gap means no contact.
No torque transfer.
Michelangelo didn't paint a transfer of power.
He painted the millimeter just before it.
God creates a torque potential.
Adam creates no counter-torque.
God is ready to transfer.
Adam is not.
The system is open.
The torque stays in God's hand.
Because man must close the system himself. Physically.
Two operating modes —
Flat mode
Swing mode
For 500 years, Adam has been dozing on the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel.
Mode: Flat.
Isn't it time he lifted off?
I’m not offering gospel here.
This is the engineering Michelangelo's "Adam" Test.
Strictly a mechanic’s tool for human torque.
